Direct Admission to Second Year in Engineering 2008-2009 will be strating on 30th July 2008. As per the notice given in
http://www.dte.org.in/ the CAP (Common Admission Procedure) forms distribution will start in the authorised ARCs from 30th July. The detailed schedule can be available from the official site

The highlights of the Admission Procedure is.....
All such candidates who have confirmed or confirmed and then cancelled their admission in Autonomous Institutes vis (VJTI, COEP, SGGS, WCE & VIT) are not eligible to apply.
The Application form is to be filled in ONLINE thru the website and it is mandatory for the candidates to procure the information brochure along with the specimen Application cum Option form from the ARCs. Cost of Form is Rs.400/- in CASH.
After filling the ONLINE form and the physical Form, candidate have to take printout of the ONLINE filled form and submit to the ARC for the confirmation.
After the ARC confirms the ONLINE filled form, candidate can not edit data ONLINE, before the confirmation candidate can change/edit form any time.
When the form is filled an Application ID is generated which is to be mentioned on the reverse side of the Diploma Mark Sheet for confirmation of submission of the Application Form.
The candidate should submit only one form in the group only.
